Bloggers for Joplin

On Sunday May 22nd, the town of Joplin, Missouri was devastated by an F5 tornado, the highest rating given to tornados.

The death toll is at 122 victims and there are over 700 with injuries. There are still over 1,500 people unaccounted for.

Times like these, we feel helpless. We don’t know what to do. We wish we could be there to help. Our hearts go out to the victims of the Joplin, Missouri tornado.

We are going to do what we do best: Blog and use Social Media.

There are so many wonderful people out there doing what they can to raise money for Joplin, to help out. We live an hour south of that city, and I used to go right through it on my way home from college. Even though I've never lived there, I still feel like it's “mine”. There are lots of families here in Arkansas that have families and friends who live up there, and I know that they appreciate everything that everyone is doing. Thanks for putting this out there, and hope you have wonderful success!

KLZ have you checked with Eden Fantasies? Tiny Prints? I bet both would do this. I can help throw the word out to my contacts if you'd like. I know you work with Eden Fantasies, but some of the other bloggers might now.

Off to help you spread the word on The Twitter now!

    You guys are amazing :)

What a fantastic idea! My sister is in Missouri and her husband's entire family lives in Joplin. In fact, his sister's home got completely destroyed. Fortunately, everyone is alive. I'm sending the link to her right now. I'm sure she knows several businesses who would be interested.

We had a tornado come through here a few weeks ago- not the damage that Joplin had, but there are families w/o homes. Been working on local fundraising, but I tweeted this!
