Today, the Wild Thing is 18 months old.
I can’t believe it. More than that, I can’t believe that his room decor is still kind of meh. Wasn’t that something I should have taken care of while I was pregnant?
Oh, right, while I was pregnant he didn’t have a room. Because of the whole housing crisis thing.
In any event, I’ve been debating purchasing something from Bobo’s Room for months. The custom artwork is so adorable it’s bonkers. I just can’t decide if I should cement my slacker tendencies and order something a year and a half after the fact. As an added bonus the work is done by the lovely woman behind According to Chip and Bobo so you know you can tell her the baby’s name and she’ll keep your secret. If you’re into that.

So today, in honor of Alex being 18 months and my impending birthday next week, she’s kind enough to offer a giveaway to you, my awesome readers.
Leave a comment below to enter to win a $75 gift certificate for custom artwork from Bobo’s Room. Winner will be chosen on March 19th by random. org.
Or, if I’m feeling devious, the most hilarious comment might win. It’ll probably be random.org though. Multiple comments are allowed, as inspired by Momma Kiss. Also, if you order anything between now and April 1st, you can get 10% off using the super secret saver code: Insanity
Go check out the awesome custom work at Bobo’s Room. One look and you’ll see she can do just about anything. Then go tell your friends.

So, I'm a little tired this morning, and when I read this in my blog roll, I read something about 'Boob Giveaway'. What? Yet, I clicked on it anyway.
I'm happy to see that it is NOT a boob giveaway, though I was curious as to how that would work (my post-nursing messes are free to anyone who wants them…)

Love this and love Angela's comment, I would be totally up for a boob giveaway if you are thinking of doing that next week. Happy Year and Half Mr. Wild Thing!
LOL!! Boob giveaway! Is there a way we can see these before we enter?
I think that I'd prefer the artwork though!
Hope you & your little guy have a great day!
Well, this isn't fair, because if you're choosing from most hilarious, Angela won with the boob comment.
I decorated my son's room within an inch of its life, but 15 weeks later my son still sleeps in our room because Mommy is lazy and doesn't want to walk across a 1600 sq ft home to nurse him at night.
I thought our nursery was really cute until our 11 month old reached up in a fit of rage and yanked the quilt I had up on display down.
Now there's just a bare wall lookin for some painting love.
Yes. I am giving away boobs.
Is it too late to change the prize?
And am I disqualified from entering my own giveaway?
Thanks for hosting this. And how is it that the Wild Thing is already 18 months?
I don't need the artwork. My cherubs are all about Tiger Beat and National Geographic for Kids tear-out posters these days.
But for you? It's not too late. Carpe Bobo!
I would totally enter a boob giveaway, point me in the right direction!
I totally think you should decorate the room the way you want it. Who cares if it is not right fot the child? Mama needs to have her way once in awhile.
My kid is 21 months old and I am just now finishing up his room. So if you're a slacker, I'm a complete and utter dead beat.
OMG, the boob giveaway. I totally read it like that, too. He's 18 mos already? SHEESH. So I'm on my phone. But intend to do ya right on the no rules shout out. Who needs rules?? Not this kid
Happy 18 months Alex!! I'm glad this is not a boob giveaway cause my jugs are ample enough and besides that I'm not really sure how the logistics of a boob giveaway would work. I'm not into plastic surgery and i think it would be kind of gross to get someone doses boob.
But thats not really what this post is about right? I think it's perfectly fine to use minimal decorations in a baby's room. after all in a few years they'll be begging for some sort of character themed decor anyways. My sister in law is due in May and she is going a little overboard with the room. She is having this huge mural painted. It looks really cool but it is a lot. Like enough to give a kid nightmares about giant alligators attacking them in their sleep. She may have a rough time with sleep training.
Great giveaway!!
Ooh I want! Thanks to complications both pregnancies, neither of the rooms are much more than painted. My poor kids.
A boob giveaway I would enter; a boob trade not so much…because that's not a win-win for the person who gets mine.
But Bobo's momma has some awesome artistic talents there, and if I win I just might pop another bun in my oven! Except my eggs are kinda past their “best by” date.
So maybe I would donate the prize to someone more worthy and fertile.
There are 2 cowboys in the kitchen. Which one is the real cowboy? The one on the range.
*You know, in case you want to go the hilarity route*
I have seen her stuff before on her site and love it! (I hope you go for the random.org winner because this is NOT hilarious, obviously. I am running out the door to go get my little dude from schooooooooooool!!!)
Happy 18 Months little one!!! And dont worry Im right there with you with not decorating yet…my poor 23 month old is going to be getting her room decorated for her 2nd birthday and I have to decorate her little brothers room before he gets here.
I have no babies of my own to use this for, but plenty of friends with littles on the way!
I would definitely enter a boob giveaway. Anyway, the artwork is SOO darn cute! I wish I had the talent.
Artwork is awesome!
I had a Boob Giveaway on my blog recently:http://lifeintheboomerlane.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/we-have-stuff-like-earrings-with-a-lot-of-breasts/. The winner only needed one, so I still have one left (a boob earring. Luckily I have 2 actual boobs left) If any of your readers want to check my post out and enter, I can offer this priceless Boob Earring as the prize.
I love what BooyahsMomma said, and if boobs are being given away, I'm going to claw her down to be first in line.
Also, I think 18 months is a big turning point in a lot of ways. Go Alex!
Boobs. I'll take two.
The artwork aint bad either.
Do you think it'll enhance my boobs?
And really, I'd like a time delay on those boobs.
Say 18 months after birth, when they you know, start to look like pancakes.
And you know, 18 months is a good number.
Since I hear an adorable little boy is now 18 months.
Which also means its been 18 months since he shot out of his mom's hoo ha.
This is the place to talk about these things, isn't it?
Oh wait, there's a giveaway.
I like giveaways.
I happen to know a spandex booty wrapped TALENTED writing hottie who is expecting her own Wild Thing.
And when I say Wild Thing, I mean the Michael Phelps wannabe that is currently practicing flip turns off her bladder.
I am offering half of my cup size and the ability to leak an ounce per minute when I go to bed…
So 1/2 DD and some colostrum for the bedding!
The leaking I'm giving away anyways, but since my husband is rather fond of my new cup size, which makes me horribly uncomfortable, I'm only considering that magical transaction in exchange of the bedding.
Wanted to let you know that I am putting this giveaway on my facebook page and will also tweet about it!! I am a friend of Amanda's!

I kinda wanna win this giveaway for a friend, but the mad woman behind the blog is a tour de force with her determined and repeated clevernesses, so I kinda want HER to win, now.
Great idea for a giveaway!
The Chalupa's room is SO uninspired it's pathetic. And he's 2-1/2. Talk about slacker. However, I just won something at Scary Mommy so I'm totally on a roll. Come on, come on, I'm feeling lucky! WAHOO HOOOOO!!
Holla atcha girl.
And when I say holla, I mean pick me.
FTR, I don't normally talk like that. My husband used to, but that side now only comes out after a few too many rum and cokes.
My girls share a room so I am thinking that I might need custom art work that says:
“Stay on your side of the room and stop messing with my sh**”
because I totally know that is what they are thinking.
So the winner will be chosen on March 19th???
Why is that date ringing a bell?
March….19th……
Hmmmmm.
I'll have to keep thinking on it.
Now this artwork?
I don't have a 'nursery' but i have 2 boys that would LOVE something from Boob's room.
Oops. I mean BOBO's room. Not boob's. bobo.
Bobo's room. Love it. LOVE that you're doing a giveaway.
March 19th, huh ?
okay, so happy 18 months to your adorable Wild Thing!
and…I passed over this the other day. because i didn't need nursery art.
um, but now i do.
um, so i am entering.
love you.
Yes, you read right.
I am pregnant. After 2 rounds of in vitro to get my girls and years of other treatments before that for my PCOS….and after being on the pill since then to manage my PCOS…..
I am 7 weeks 3 days pregnant. Saw the heartbeat yesterday.
I am trying to hold down my breakfast as I type this.
HOLY CRAP! Congrats to Erin. If my number is picked, I'm gifting to Erin!
I don't need a nursery set. AT ALL. But…I wanted to say congrats to Erin and you can count this as one of her entries!!!!
Yay!!!
My son's room is brown. BROWN. I mean, I put some cute decals on the wall, but it's still brown. That's what color it was before we got pregnant. I just didn't want to paint the room for a nursery and then he wants to paint it and have a train theme when he's five and I'm like, “Oh, I just painted it when you were born. It's only been like this for five years? Forget it.”
So it SOUNDS like I'm a bad mom because my son's room is ugly, but, really, I was just thinking ahead. That makes me a good mom.
In my head.
fun art!
